RUDINE SMITH, PRESIDENT and CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Ms. Smith brings more than twenty 20 years of experience in a variety of industries including, government, healthcare, education and financial services to this position. Before accepting this appointment, Ms. Smith co-founded Tiger Medical Systems, Acqusition Company, Inc. where she developed business and financial plans, evaluated acquision targets, consulting services, products and more. Prior to founding RS Associates, Ms. Smith was Acting Chief Operating Officer and Business Administrator/Acting Director and Operations Manager at Blue Cross & Blue Shield of New Jersey, a $3 billion health insurance company. She was the Metropolitan and Regional Branch Manager for two major home health agencies in the Tri-state area: Staff Builder's, Inc. and Temporary Nursing Services. Ms. Smith received a Master's degree in Public Administration from Rutgers University and her B.S. degree in Allied Health from Montclair State College. She has served for several years as the President of the East Orange Board of Health and as Chairwoman for the East Orange Committee on the Status of Woman.

 

SUSAN WALSH, MD, CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER
Dr. Walsh is a Board-certified Internist and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. She has been associated with the Center since 1984, and as of 1988, has served as medical director/CMO. Dr. Walsh attended UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School and completed her residency at University Hospital, Newark, NJ. In addition to her work at the Center, Dr. Walsh is a senior attending physician at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center and a clinical assistant professor at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Department of Medicine. She has participated on national, regional and statewide taskforces and advisory boards, most recently as a contributing member of the NJ Commission on the Physician Workforce. In addition, Dr. Walsh has served on the Board of the Clinical Directors Network, based in Manhattan, since 1990. In her off hours, Dr. Walsh delights in sharing the raising of her two teenagers with her pharmacist husband.

 
   
  A. EUGENE BAUCUM, JR., VP, CHIEF DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
A. Eugene Baucum, Jr. has been associated with the Plainfield Neighborhood Health Services Corporation since 1993, where he has served in various Board, consultant, and staff capacities including: member, and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors; Owner’s Representative, and consultant; Director of Facility Management & Business Development, Director of Governmental Liaison & Community Affairs. He also served as Site Administrator and Director of Governmental Liaison & Community Affairs at the Elizabeth Port Community Health Center (satellite site of PNHSC). Mr. Baucum brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in management, business development, governmental relations, and executive leadership to PNHSC. Prior to returning to the PNHSC in January, 2006, Mr. Baucum served as a Management Consultant, and Owner’s Representative, for several firms, and as a Training Manager for the NJ Department of Labor’s Professional Services Group. Mr. Baucum is certified in Facility Management, Security Management, OSHA Regulations, JCAHO Environment of Care, Disaster Preparedness, Incident Command, and HIPAA Compliance. Mr. Baucum has been involved with numerous professional organizations. He served as a member of the Healthcare Marketing and Planning Society of NJ, NJ Primary Care Association Marketing Committee, NJPCA HIPPA Compliance Task Force, and Gateway Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, to name a few. Mr. Baucum studied Mathematics at Hampton University, and received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at Thomas Edison State College.
