Family Practice Physician


Caring Family Medicine Physician sought for opportunity at Neighborhood Health Service Corporation’s Elizabeth, New Jersey Health Center.  The Medical Professional will examine and treat members of families, regardless of age or gender and will ensure proper injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Provider will also prescribe and administer medications, perform routine vaccinations, and provide advice regarding personal health and hygiene. Physician will also request necessary tests and follow-up visits and refer patients to specialists, as necessary.  This position requires a degree in medicine from an accredited school and a license to practice in the state of New Jersey. 

Board Certification in Family Medicine also required, and at least 2 years of ambulatory experience is preferred.

 

INTERNAL MEDICINE PHYSICIANS

Position Qualifications:

DENTIST

Available full time opportunity for hard-working Dentist at our Newton Health Center.  Under the general direction of the Chief of Dental Services, the provider will examine, diagnose and treat oral disease and provide quality dental care.  We seek a motivated, personable professional to join our team.

Position Qualifications:
Graduate of a certified US Dental school with completion of ADA-approved general or specialty residency program. 
At least 3 years experience as a practicing community Dentist
Current license from New Jersey Board of Dentistry to practice dentistry as DMD or DDS.  Current CDS and DEA are also required
Spanish fluency is desirable

 

NURSE MANAGER-ADULT MEDICINE

Great opportunity for balanced, take charge Nurse Manager who leads with finesse.  This position is responsible for coordinating and overseeing patient care for the department under the guidance of the Clinical Services Director, and will maintain the standards of the New Jersey Nurse Practice Act.  Responsibilities will include Quality Assurance, recruitment and retention of qualified nursing and nursing support staff, maintenance of medical supplies inventory, and performance of duties in compliance with JCAHO and HIPAA standards.

Position Qualifications:
A Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing is required.  AAS accepted, BSN/MSN preferred.

At least one (1) year adult medical/surgical experience required and/or minimum of (2) years in clinical specialty area (Pediatric, Obstetric, Gynecology) or demonstrated leadership/supervisory experience of one (1) year or more.  Public Health Nursing experience is a plus.

HIM Supervisor

Seeking AHIMA Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) to oversee the daily operations of the Health Information Management department across all NHSC service sites.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the audit of medical records and will flag records for incompleteness and ensure that chart contents confirm with requirements of NHSC, and regulatory bodies including state and federal agencies. In overseeing the medical records filing system the HIM Supervisor will supervise and direct the maintenance of terminal digit order for all active charts, and oversee the purging of inactive records.

This position will also schedule staff coverage for all hours of operations, provide orientation and training for new hires and conduct evaluations of staff performance. The successful candidate will also be responsible for supervising the release of requested patient information, ensuring that the appropriate authorization has been received.

Position Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Management, knowledge of medical terminology, ability to set up effective filing systems, and excellent supervisory and interpersonal skills are mandatory.

ELIZABETH

BILLING AND REGISTRATION CLERK

NEWTON

CERTIFIED MEDICAL TECHNICIAN


In search of part-time (16 hours/week) certified Medical Technician to work in our Newton New Jersey Health Center. The ideal candidate will assist with various direct patient care activities, including EKGs, vital signs and phlebotomy services, and will be bilingual (English/Spanish). Responsibilities will also include filing and retrieving medical records, and patient scheduling. Candidate must be certified as a Medical Assistant/Technician and have previous experience performing EKGs and phlebotomy.

MEDICAL ASSISTANT

Opportunity for part-time Medical Assistant at Neighborhood Health Center Newton.  This 32-hour/week position will assist in patient care activities such as EKGs and phlebotomy, as well as non-professional in-direct patient care services. 

Position Qualifications:
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Certified as a Medical Assistant
Previous experience performing EKGs and phlebotomy and experience in Ambulatory care or at least one (1) year in a hospital setting.
