ANCILLARY SERVICES
The role of the Ancillary
Services staff is to help you and your family understand and cope with
your illness, injury, or condition; and to provide counseling, support
and referral services to help you to achieve your highest functioning,
and improve the overall quality of your life.
ANCILLARY SERVICES include:
- Social Services
- Nutritional Counseling
- Health Education
- Outreach
- Mental Health screening and referral
- Parenting Education
- Referrals for substance abuse counseling and treatment services
- Confidential HIV testing, counseling and prevention case management
- Assistance with entitlements (Medicaid, SS/SSD, etc.) and indigent programs (Prescription Assistance, etc.)
- Assistance in locating housing, transportation, food and clothing
Referrals
Your physician will generate an appropriate referral for you, or you may
contact our staff directly. Ancillary Services are available to the patients
of all NHSC Plainfield clinical departments.
Payment
Most Ancillary Services are available upon referral at no charge

Monday, Wednesday and Friday
8am - 5pm
Tuesday and Thursday 8am - 8pm
Saturday 9am - 1pm
